AdvancedMD has a growing corporate staff and is seeking a highly motivated Data Center Operations Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple production data center environments.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of AdvancedMD’s production data centers and technical staff members. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical manager who has relevant experience in a 24x7x365 production data center setting. This position requires a strong hands-on working knowledge of the following areas:
• Administration in a SaaS (Software as a Service) environment
• Technical team management and leadership in industry standard best practice methodologies
• I/T project management , workflow planning, prioritization, and developing standards while maintaining operational excellence
• Technical capability to identify, analyze and resolve complex technology related issues in a high stress environment.
• Manage budgets, capacity planning and operational metrics reporting
• Manage complex data processing flow
• Disaster and contingency planning
• Formal change and incident management processes
• Vendor, SLA, and contract relationship management


The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience over the following technical areas:

• Systems administration of a 100+ server environment
• Network administration of heterogeneous IP networks
• High performance storage infrastructures utilizing multiple TB of iSCSI storage area networks
• Database administration and performance tuning
• Data integrity, security and protection
• System and software automation, monitoring and troubleshooting
• Data center design, power and HVAC capacity planning

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelors degree with minimum 5 – 7 years of technical leadership in a 24x7x365 production data center setting
• Professional certifications such as MSCE and CCNE will be helpful
• Demonstrated skills in managing complex issues
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential
• Strong problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated project management and documentation skills
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements, develop and execute plans for productivity improvements
• Genuine helpful attitude, with outstanding customer service and interaction skills
• This position requires some travel and afterhours, evenings, and weekend work.

• Microsoft Server 2003 Enterprise,.NET and COM+ middleware infrastructures
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
• HP Proliant Blade Servers
• NetApp iSCSI Storage Area Networks (SAN)
• VMware server virtualization
• Juniper Networks switches, routers and security devices
