Company Overview: X-ray analysis is becoming a very important part of our world to keep us safe from harmful materials. Moxtek is a leader in the development and manufacturing of x-ray components which are used in x-ray analysis instruments.
Position Purpose:
• Provide leadership and guidance in the areas of materials management, production control and inventory control by equipment planning, inventory control, purchasing, shipping, receiving functions, material supplier management as it relates to availability, quality and on time delivery.
Essential Duties:
• Work with suppliers (materials, electronic components, machines shops, etc.) to secure supply
• Find second source suppliers for all parts
• Inventory management
• Establish Kanbans levels for products
• Coordinate supplier qualification process on new component designs
• Work closely with Product Development and Operations teams to help with planning and costing for materials support
• Management

• Forward and Reverse Logistics
• Assess and develop materials tracking system
• Create supply delivery using forecast prepared by the marketing department
• Negotiation with suppliers for price reductions

Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Supply chain management training/certifications preferred
Requirements:
• 7+ years experience in supply chain management:
• Working with suppliers to secure supply and reduce lead times
• Inventory maintenance and purchasing data within an ERP or MRP system (Visual Manufacturing preferred)
• Strong ability to coordinate various aspects of contract manufacturing, both at the prototype and mass production levels
• Detailed understanding of material flow and inventory control process from raw materials to finished goods
• Kanbans experience
• MS office skills
• CSCP or CPIM certification preferred
• Ability to speak Chinese a plus
Working Conditions:
• Up to 20% international/domestic travel required
• New light-manufacturing facility in Orem, Utah
• Work around x-ray producing equipment. X-ray safety equipment supplied
